Beitir was established in 1988 and is located in the small town of Vogar in the south-west of Iceland.
Beitir specialises in manufacturing a variety of equipment in stainless steel for the fishing and food processing industries.

The company is best known for its longline equipment, random baiters, longline haulers and bait cutters for boats from 6 to 100 tonnes.
Beitir has also completed numerous tailor-made commissions such as conveyor systems, washers and other equipment made from stainless steel for many processing plants, factory vessels and food manufacturers.

Beitir is a family company owned and run by Hafsteinn Ólafsson and Thóra Bragadóttir.
